Fun Dom Tower Facts:
- The tower consists of 3 parts, the lantern is the top part which starts at 70 meters and reaches the wind vane at 112.32 meters.
- The lantern has eight sides and is completely open.
- In the lantern is the carillon, a musical instrument that plays a melody on 50 bells every quarter of an hour. The carillon also indicates the hours and half hours.
- The carillonneur plays the carillon once or twice a week. She plays both classical and modern music. Think of Beethoven, David Bowie and the music of Harry Potter.
