With the Scipio "Domtoren" lamp you can bring a tangible piece of the Utrecht Dom Tower into your home in the form of a unique and atmospheric design lamp by designer Louis Verbeek. The combination of authentic, centuries-old material from this iconic tower with modern design and technology creates an exclusive lamp with a very special story. Each lamp is handmade, uniquely numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This certificate also states exactly where the stone was located in the Dom Tower!

Description
The base consists of a part of a 'montant' from the Dom Tower. A montant is a stone style of a church window. The oval hood of the Scipio lamp is covered with fine, off-white Chinz fabric. When the lamp is lit, a stylized skyline of Utrecht is printed with the Dom Tower prominently visible. What is special about the Scipio lamp is that the LED lamp at the top burns without any apparent electrical connection being visible.

The Scipio Dom Stone is mounted on a high-quality plexiglass plate that is cut to the size of the stone and polished by hand. This Dom Stone is 3 cm thick. The total height of the lamp is approx. 50 cm.
